Four Points Bellingham Promotes Metzger and Appoints New Executive Chef Joao "Gio" d'Aquino
Metzger now is directing all aspects of the food and beverage operations for the property, ensuring quality and service is the key factor with both front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house operations. Metzger’s culinary background includes the development and launch of multiple restaurants, as well as numerous years within operations of free-standing restaurants and large-scale conference facilities.
Four Points Bellingham General Manager Larry MacDonald said Metzger’s experience will improve performance overall within the food and beverage operations of the property, enhancing the guest experience in all outlets and catering banquets.
Metzger also has previously worked with d’Aquino, who has experience at many of Whatcom County’s top restaurants the last 20 years. They’ve created new menus that emphasize Pacific Northwest cuisine for both Chinuk and catering.
A graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, d’Aquino oversees food preparation for customers of Chinuk and Poppes 360 Neighborhood Pub, as well as banquet guests of Four Points Bellingham.
“The combination of Metzger and d’Aquino will give our guests the best dining experiences in Whatcom County,” MacDonald said.
